Sometimes when you are in a place as beautiful as Louisville you just need to get out of the city and enjoy some of the green space the city has to offer. This is when you should know that Louisville does have plenty of green space to enjoy, but only if you know about the best place to go. That is why we have ranked the top 7 parks in Louisville.

  • 7. Dave Armstrong Extreme Park -

    The Dave Armstrong Extreme Park is one the kids that are into the extreme sports are going to like. That is because the park makes it easier for the kids to enjoy the trip and know they can finally go out on the skateboard to have a good time and enjoy themselves even more than what they imagined. Not to mention this park is a lot safer than some of the other places the kids could be out at.

    Tom Sawyer Park is a place you will really like because of the beauty of the park. However, you will also notice this park has plenty of options as well with different points that make watching birds a beautiful pasttime. The kids love the park because of the beautiful pool they can enjoy.

    Cherokee Park is one that has plenty of trails for you to walk on, as one of the trails is over 2 miles long. However, this is also a park that makes it easier for you to have a great time because you are able to get out and see everything. When you are at Cherokee Park in Louisville you will notice it makes it easier for you to have a great time because of the pond that is on the grounds as well.

    The Waterfront Park is one that obviously has plenty of water for you to enjoy. However, it is also a park that you are going to fall in love with because of the water. What is even better is all the public art that is on display throughout the park.

    While not as large or looming as its Central Park counterpart in New York, this one here is equally as stunning. The park has quite a bit of features and one of the best parts for you to enjoy during hot summer day is the spray fountain. 

  • 2. Iroquois Park -

    Iroquois Park is a place you will love because of the wooded trails, but also the beautiful area that you can enjoy. This is a place that even has plenty of sports areas for you to enjoy as well. All that you have to know is this park even has an amphitheater as well to make enjoying shows a blast.

    This is a park that has everything you would want to have in a park. The park has plenty of trails for you to enjoy, water  features to enjoy, and plenty of sports areas. The most important part is the park is well located so it is allows for easy access from almost anywhere in the city.
