Traveling is a great way to explore all of the different restaurants you have read about online. When you are in New Orleans, though, it is very important you know about the best breakfast restaurants in New Orleans. Since this is the case, we decided to rank the top 7 breakfast restaurants in New Orleans.

If breakfast is not your meal of choice, make sure you check out our entire New Orleans travel page.

  • 7. The Ruby Slipper Cafe @rubyslippercafe -

With three stunning locations in New Orleans The Ruby Slipper can provide you with great breakfast options. Our favorite dish at The Ruby Slipper is the Spanish Omelette that has the perfect blend of spice and cool all at the same time.

  • 6. New Orleans Cake Cafe & Bakery @cake_cafe -

New Orleans Cake Cafe is one of those places you will want to go back to time and time again. The Cafe serves some of the best food in New Orleans, but our personal favorite is the Boudin and Eggs. Once you dig into this dish and taste the Boudin sausage you will not go back to any of the other restaurants in New Orleans.

  • 5. Wakin Bakin @WakinBakin1 -

Wakin Bakin is a place that you are going to fall in love with. It has a cozy atmosphere to enjoy, but it also has specials each day. The best dish on the menu, that we can find is the daily specials that have the great examples of the cooks range of foods and creativity. Even better is the special changes daily.

  • 4. Riccobono's Panola Street Cafe @PanolaStCafe -

Riccobono's is a place that is well known for the great American style breakfasts. Our favorite meal at the location is the Two Two Three Plate. This is a plate that has 2 eggs, 2 pieces of Applewood bacon, and 3 silver dollar pancakes that are cooked to perfection.

  • 3. Elizabeth's @chefbryonpeck -

Elizabeth's has kept the traditional Cajun style of food on the menu. Our favorite dish on the menu from Elizabeth's is the Bayou Breakfast which is fried catfish and eggs. It is pricey, but it is a great way to start off your morning. Just make sure you order the Praline Bacon as well off of the appetizer menu to get a great breakfast.

  • 2. Betsy's Pancakes @Betsys-Pancakes -

Betsy's Pancakes is the place to go if you want pancakes. Betsy's has some of the best down home cooking that you can find in New Orleans with no frills. Our favorite is nothing more than the basic pancakes that are so filling your meals are done until dinner, but the taste makes you come back.

  • 1. Two Chicks Cafe @Two-Chicks-Cafe -

Two Chicks Cafe is ran by two friends, who made their dream into a reality and have taken the very difficult first spot in our list. Our favorite dish that we love to order from Two Chicks is the Farmhouse Omelet and creamy grits. All of this makes it easier for us to sit down and enjoy our breakfast at the handbuilt tables.
